Zamis is an Antwerp based DJ inspired by the rich legacy of Belgian electronic music. Drawing
influence from the New Beat era and iconic ’80s synth sounds, he blends elements of EBM, Italo disco to new wave into a coherent, contemporary sound. While his music nods to darker Belgian roots, Zamis focuses on mood and pacing, letting tracks connect naturally. Subtle emotion and a sense of nostalgia play an important role, without losing sight of the dancefloor. Through his project Dock Noir, Zamis explores and showcases ’80s dance music, from New Beat to Italo disco, trying to bring these sounds back into the context of Antwerp nightlife today.
